Join Urban Teachers, STEMS, and aspiring teachers for a workshop on effective, engaging mini-lessons on Thursday 4/26 in Salomon 202. Many teacher preparation programs as well as full-time jobs require candidates to teach a 5- or 10-minute "mini lesson." This can be a stressful experience, especially if you're used to more flexible lessons. Fortunately, Urban Teachers (a four-year teacher preparation program) and STEMS (Swearer Tutoring and Enrichment in Math and Sciences, a Brown student group) are partnering up to provide a series of workshops on planning and executing these lessons, with emphasis on constructive dialogue, engagement, and cooperative support. This is our second workshop, but all are welcome to attend!
