What is Open Access?

Rockefeller Library, Digital Studio Seminar Room (Rock 160)
There is a growing debate about the sustainability of the current academic publishing model in the face of rising subscription costs and the ethical dilemma of locking research behind paywalls. In this workshop learn about the differences between ‘Public Access’ and ‘Open Access’ (as well as what is Gold Open Access and Green Open Access?), and learn about author rights, copyleft licenses, and ways that you can work with the Library to make your articles and data open and/or publicly available.
