WORKSHOP: 3D Modelling 101

Granoff Center, Room N320
A gentle, hands-on introduction to creating models from scratch using online tools. You can now do basic 3D design using nothing more than a web browser. Create basic primitive shapes, combine them into more complex forms, and download them as models that can be imported into other programs, viewed in VR, or 3D printed! You won't be designing your house here, but it will get you up & running with a minimum of fuss, and prepare you for using more sophisticated tools (if you need them). This is the inaugural workshop of a 9-part introductory series on 3D technologies offered jointly by the Library's Center for Digital Scholarship (CDS) and CIS' Multimedia Labs (MML).
