The Title IX and Gender Equity
The Title IX and Gender Equity Office at Brown University is responsible for ensuring compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which protects people from sex discrimination in educational programs and activities at institutions that receive federal financial assistance. Brown University has two policies and procedures that prohibit sexual harassment, gender-based harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking. Reports or Formal Complaints of conduct prohibited under these policies can be submitted via email to [email protected] or through the Sexual Violence & Gender-Harassment Incident Reporting Form.

Annual Security Report
In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), the Department of Public Safety is required to publish an annual security report which includes statistics mandated by the Clery Act.
