Dr. Micah Salkind, author of Do You Remember House? Chicago’s Queer of Color Undergrounds (Oxford University Press, 2019) will discuss some of the challenges and opportunities posed by using multiple research methods, including performance ethnography, oral history, and archival research, as well as the promise and peril of writing for multiple academic and non-academic audiences. Ph.D. students developing their research proposals are encouraged to participate in this informal workshop.
