Creating equitable, diverse, and inclusive spaces is a challenging task for any department. However, units can do so by focusing on the “four Rs”- recruitment, representation, retention, and return on investment (ROI). These four metrics help demystify the EDI process and assess whether efforts are successful to help transform departmental climate and culture.
