Biography

Sharon Lee is a clinical psychology resident at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, working with Dr. Stroud as her research mentor, and a doctoral candidate at the University of Connecticut. Sharon received a BA in Psychology from the University of Southern California, a MA in Psychology from Columbia University, and a MS in Clinical Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Prior to entering the clinical psychology PhD program at the University of Connecticut, Sharon worked at the New York University School of Medicine on research about biomarkers for PTSD and depression. During her doctoral studies, Sharon received a F31 from the NIH/NHLBI to study biobehavioral mechanisms linking PTSD and cardiovascular health using a stress response paradigm. Sharon’s research interests center on biobehavioral mechanisms linking trauma and PTSD with adverse physical health outcomes, with a focus on cardiovascular disease.
