Promoting Research Training During Psychiatry Residency

STAR Co-Director Audrey Tyrka, MD, PhD, received a competitive continuation R25 grant from NIMH of $1,074,279 entitled “Promoting Research Training During Psychiatry Residency.” This grant provides funding to continue the Brown Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior Research Training Program (RTP) in the Psychiatry Residency. The RTP combines an intensive longitudinal mentored research experience with an individualized research didactic curriculum and career development activities in the rich, multidisciplinary environment at Brown University. Teresa Daniels, MDAndrew Fukuda, MD, PhD  and Elizabeth Olsen, MD are current residents conducting important STAR-related research as part of this program.
