The Department of Classics held The President Francis Wayland Prize Exams in Latin and Ancient Greek in early November.  Typically these financial prizes are offered in the Spring semester and intended for first-year undergraduate students; however, since last year most first-year students did not join Brown until the Spring, the department postponed the exams until Fall 2021.  This gave incoming students, new to the ancient languages, a chance to take Classics language courses. 

The Classics Department will hold another round of Wayland exams in the Spring semester.  Congratulations to the Fall 2021 winners!
