Financial IQ Challenge

From June 1 to June 30, take the Financial IQ Challenge to learn important information about financial planning and have fun! Between June 1 and June 15, a new quiz will be added each day. Completing 7 of the 15 quizzes will count toward 2018 Wellness Rewards as one financial program. The quizzes will be available until June 30, and all responses are confidential. Ready to test your financial savvy and learn something new each time you play?

Mindfulness Meditation

Take a moment to pause from your hectic day and join mindfulness meditation teacher Priscilla Szneke for an introduction to mindfulness practices with time for instruction, meditation, and discussion. Learn basic meditation techniques to help build a foundation for practice at home, or to simply give yourself a moment for stillness. Each session counts as one wellness program toward 2018 Wellness Rewards.

Prescription Drug Dependence: The Pharmacist's Perspective

Prescription drug abuse is a major problem in the United States with serious consequences. Over the past decade, there has been a dramatic rise in ER visits, treatment facility admissions, and overdose deaths due to prescription drug abuse. Come learn about what constitutes abuse versus misuse, classes of commonly abused medications, ways to prevent abuse, and treatment options. This session counts as one wellness program toward 2018 Wellness Rewards.

It's time to trade in hot pastas and ramens for chilled noodle salads!  Join Dining Services Executive Chef Gerry Furtado for this hands on demo guaranteed to fill you up and cool you down on a hot summer day. Keep it simple; add leftover veggies, or better yet, freshly picked vegetables from your garden or possibly a lean protein for the perfect summer meal. Surveys repeatedly show that many teenagers do not understand even basic financial concepts. This class will cover how to teach children about money by looking at our money values and how we communicate about money. Join e4 to discuss parental attitudes toward allowances and working as well as how to set goals and create spending and saving strategies.
