Wellness Portal

Maxwell, the wellness portal, is your centralized location for managing and submitting Wellness Rewards. This online portal is built upon habit-forming technology that drives better health choices in a motivational and streamlined experience. You can also find quick links to the Current Care program (a free Rhode Island service to support and improve care coordination), Choosing Wisely (an online tool to help you make informed decisions about your healthcare), and the Faculty/Staff Assistance Program.

Athletics

On the first workday of each month, Brown faculty/staff members can use the Athletics facilities during open recreation hours (Nelson Fitness Center, pool, OMAC track).

With your Brown ID card on the first workday of each month, you can take advantage of state of the art fitness equipment, a featured fitness class (exclusively for faculty/staff members) counting toward one fitness program for 2018 Wellness Rewards, and a Wellness at Brown! Stop-By Table from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m promoting a new topic each month.


 

Health Services

Free blood pressure checks are available to all employees from the University Health Services.  
These preventative screenings are available:
- Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
They are located at Andrews House, 13 Brown Street.  Appointments required.  Call 863-3953.

 

 

Fruits and Vegetables at Brown

Brown Market Shares A campus based program connecting Brown families with regional producers through weekly shares of fresh local produce, bread, eggs, dairy, and meat.

Farm Fresh Rhode Island Farm Fresh Rhode Island is growing a local food system that values the environment, health and quality of life of RI farmers and eaters. Visit this page to learn more about local farmer's markets, including the on-campus market.

Food on the Move The Food on the Move discount fresh fruit and vegetable market is often held on the corner of Memorial Boulevard and College Street. Dates and times are published in Morning Mail.

 

Brown University Relaxation Project (BURP)

BURP is a student group dedicated to promoting stress relief and relaxation to the Brown community. They have been trained by a licensed massage therapist to give stress-relieving shoulder rubs.

 

 

 

Blue Cross Blue Shield

Brown Blue Cross Blue Shield members can log into their member page to take advantage of numerous health management options such as interactive tools, health topics, and the learning center.
