The Cognitive Control & Memory Lab Studies

We are recruiting for studies with computer-based and/or functional MRI sessions.

fMRI participants will also receive a picture of their brain!


Participant Demographics:
18-35 years old, right handed (Studies may have additional criteria that will be discussed during screening)

Compensation: $10-$20 per hour depending on the experiment type

 

Thomas Adolescent Decision-making Study

Bradley Hospital

Study on behavior and brain activity related to how teens make decisions and respond to rewards because of how this may be linked to marijuana use.


Participant Demographics:
Female; 14-15 years old; range of marijuana use (from none to a lot); have a parent or legal guardian willing to participate in some study activities; have no braces, permanent retainer, or implanted metal

Desrochers Lab Neuroscience Study

Be a Research Participant! Get a Picture of your Brain!

Simple computer-based behavioral studies, fMRI or TMS (a form of noninvasive brain stimulation) studies.


Participant Demographics:
18-35 years old, right handed

Compensation: $10-$20 per hour depending on the experiment type, total hours of the study session, and whether it is a single or multi-session study

 

Pediatric Eating Behaviors Study

Weight Control and Diabetes Research Center at Brown University

Two outpatient study visits involving non-invasive procedures and testing.


Participant Demographics:
10-17 years old, overweight

Peters Emotions Study

Brown University

Study on relationships between emotions, thoughts and the brain.


Participant Demographics:
13-16 years old, female, with one parent or legal guardian willing to participate in some study activities

Compensation: Up to $250 for teens plus photos of their brain and up to $100 for parents/guardians over four visits
