LEARN AND EARN: DIGITAL BADGES AND CREDENTIALS
At Brown University, we are dedicated to empowering you in reaching your professional aspirations. We recognize that effectively showcasing your credentials in today's rapidly expanding online marketplace can be daunting. That's why we are thrilled to announce our partnership with Credly, offering you a digital version of your credentials.
WHAT IS A DIGITAL BADGE?
A digital badge is a type of credential that allows you to show specific skills that you have gained through learning experiences. It is clickable and houses information such as the issuing institution, the date earned, the criteria required to earn the badge, and the evidence that shows that you have met the required criteria. Digital badges can be used in email signatures or digital resumes, and on social media sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.
Digital badges are dynamic credentials that you own, so you can decide how you want to use them. Once you earn a badge you own it, so you may use it however you wish. Digital badges can be put on social media site, such as LinkedIn, added as a link on your digital resume, email signature, embedded in your e-portfolio, and more.
Representing your skills as a badge gives you a way to share your abilities online in a way that is simple, trusted, and can be easily verified in real-time. Badges are an eco-friendly solution to provide employers and peers with concrete evidence of what you had to do to earn your credential and your capabilities.
Earn badges by graduating from Brown learning programs such as Leading from Where You Are, Management Essentials, and Leadership Certification Program.
Leading from Where You Are (LFWYA) - LFWYA helps individual contributors develop the skills necessary to lead from within their current position.
Leadership Certification Program - The Leadership Certification Program (LCP) provides new and existing leaders with the skills necessary to effectively lead at Brown.
Management Essentials - The Management Essentials Program offers a strong foundation in crucial information and skills for effective leadership. It focuses on key HR-related policies and procedures within the context of the employee lifecycle, essential for every manager to know.
