About THE Excellence Awards
The Excellence Award nomination form is now live. We are accepting submissions until October 28th at 5:00 pm.
The Excellence Awards is a competitive program that celebrates a small group of individuals and teams each year for their exceptional contributions to Brown University and the local community in one of eight categories.
How does the process work? Managers and peers can submit a nomination for an individual or team. Then the Selection Committee, comprised of staff from across campus, reviews nominations in November.
Your best nomination!
Want to write a great award nomination for a close colleague but don’t know where to start or how to do it? Enroll in one of our hour-long sessions where we review what makes a truly compelling award nomination! The Talking You Up session uses the BEAR Day Excellence Award nomination rubric as a guideline for how to write the best nomination possible. During the session, there will be an overview of basic writing tips and resources that can help you improve your overall writing and communication.
If you are interested, please register for one of the session offerings via Workday Learning.
We also offer one-on-one editing support throughout the nomination period. If you would like to sign up for a 15-minute nomination review, please use the following form. Any questions about the Excellence Awards or nomination process can be sent to [email protected].
