Critical Illness and Accident Illness Insurance provide cash payments to you in the event that you experience a common critical illness or accidental injury. The payments are in addition to any benefit you receive from other insurance and can be used in any way that you like.
There are two types of Insurances*:
- Critical Illness Insurance can help you fill a financial gap if you or a dependent incur a covered severe or life-threatening illness.
- Accident Illness Insurance provides benefits to help cover the costs associated due to an accident.
* The two plans must be enrolled separately.
Regular faculty and staff working 66% time or above are eligible to participate in Critical Illness and Accident Illness Insurance.
Critical Illness and Accident Illness elections can only be made through Workday during your initial enrollment period or through open enrollment. Elections may be dropped at any time.
