PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] – PSTC trainees make up more than a third of the Brown graduate students who were selected to participate in the University's interdisciplinary opportunities for 2016-2017. The program supports advanced doctoral students, providing an opportunity for enhanced professional development and interdisciplinary experience and skills through participation in the activities of interdisciplinary Centers and Institutes at Brown. Six of the sixteen students selected this year are PSTC trainees. "This is a de facto acknowledgement of our leading role as an interdisciplinary training program," said PSTC Director Andrew Foster

Sveta Milusheva and William Violette have been appointed to the PSTC. David Glick and Heitor Pellegrina have been appointed to the Institute at Brown for the Environment and Society, Michelle Marcus to the Watson Institute, and Chelsea Cormier McSwiggin to the Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America.

Last year, Weeam Hammoudeh and Colin Johnson were appointed to the PSTC and assisted with the NIH P2C grant application and with coordinating workshops.
