PSTC hosts conference on Ethiopian study

PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] – A two-day conference, Pathways to Advancing Adolescent Well-being: Research Results From the Jimma Longitudinal Family Survey of Youth (JLFSY), Ethiopia, is being held at the PSTC January 14-15. The event, with presentations by 16 Ethiopian and U.S.-based scholars, will showcase results from the seven-year survey on changes in youth sexual and reproductive health knowledge, attitudes, behavior, and the occurrence of key early life course experiences and transitions. PSTC Associate and Professor of Sociology David Lindstrom is the project director and will present at the conference along with PSTC Trainees Heather RandellAlex Reda, and Ida Sahlu, PSTC Postdoctoral Research Associate Tyler Myroniuk, and former PSTC Visiting Scholar Mulusew Gerbaba from Ethiopia. The JLFSY is part of the Brown University and Ethiopia Partnership.
