PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] - An article co-authored by Assistant Professor of Education and Economics John Papay and Professor of Education, Public Policy, and Economics John Tyler has topped the National Council on Teacher Quality's list of best teacher quality research for 2016. The study, "Learning job skills from colleagues at work: Evidence from a field experiment using teacher performance data," helped schools pair teachers who struggle with teachers who excel in a particular area and evaluated the resulting on-the-job learning from coworkers.
