PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] – Is a more relaxed approach to parenting possible? Professor of Economics Emily Oster, a mother of two and a health economist, thinks so.

Using the tools of her profession, Oster cuts through the often overwhelming and contradictory information currently available to new parents to highlight reputable data and provide suggestions of how to use this information so that parents may feel more confident and relaxed about their choices.

Oster writes, “My goal with this book is to take some of the stress out of the early years by arming you with good information and a method for making better decisions for your family.” (Cribsheet)

Published by Penguin Press earlier this year, Cribsheet: A Data-Driven Guide to Better, More Relaxed Parenting, from Birth to Preschool has been featured in: The New York Times, The Washington Post, MarketWatch, and the Minneapolis Star-Tribune
