Jesse Bruhn, Assistant Professor of Economics, Brown University
Jesse Bruhn is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Brown University, an affiliate of the Annenberg Institute, and an affiliate of the Wheelock Educational Policy Center. Prior to joining the economics department at Brown, he spent a year as a post-doctoral fellow in the Industrial Relations Section at Princeton University. In 2019, he received his Ph.D. from Boston University.
Jesse is a labor economist who studies the economics of education (teacher labor markets, educator effectiveness, school choice) and the economics of crime (illegal markets, causes of antisocial behavior).
Prior to his career as an economist, Jesse spent four years on active duty in the United States Army and one year as a Mathematics Educator in the Springfield, MA, public school system.
