Amanda is interested in how chronic pain sufferers navigate opioid prescribing regimes in light of changes to policy and law around opioid prescribing, as well as how these changes have transformed the daily lives of chronic pain sufferers. Her current work explores how chronic pain sufferers do—or don’t—access opioids for pain management, and how they are organizing to alter opioid prescribing policy and law they see as detrimental to their well-being.
