Amy Mackin

Amy Mackin joined the PSTC in April 2022. She handles PSTC communications and manages outreach projects for the PSTC Director. Amy holds a BA in Communications, an MA in American Studies, and an MFA in Creative (Nonfiction) Writing. She brings several years of diverse editorial experience to the PSTC from her previous freelance work, most recently with Mass General Brigham and MIT. Amy's independent research is broadly concerned with the intersection of women's labor participation, American motherhood, and equity and inclusion within public education. Her first book, Henry's Classroom: A "Special" Education in American Motherhood, is forthcoming from Apprentice House/Loyola University Press in spring 2025.
