Matthew Pecenco

Orlando Bravo Assistant Professor of Economics

Matt Pecenco is a labor and development economist, focusing on criminal justice topics in the U.S. and more general labor and entrepreneurship topics in the Global South. In particular, Matt has made use of quasi- or fully experimental government policies to study the family effects of incarceration, and the role of experience in generating entrepreneurship. He received his PhD from UC Berkeley in 2020.
