Michael Neubauer

Predoctoral Trainee in Economics

Mike is interested in the development of rural economies, especially in China and India. His current research examines how different aspects of governance in Indian villages influence villagers’ willingness to pay for, or become involved in, projects to mitigate climate change. More broadly, he wants to study the consequences of rapid urbanization and development for rural populations.
