Scott Lu
Predoctoral Trainee in Economics
Scott is currently focused on researching topics in inequality, labor, and education. He is broadly interested in the determining factors behind inequality in labor market outcomes, and these factors range from college education and health to migration dynamics. Currently, he is also looking at incorporating applied econometric methods in empirical work on these topics, with a particular focus on identifying causal mechanisms that mediate treatment effects. Prior to joining Brown, Scott worked as an RA at the Federal Reserve Board and worked on empirical research projects in industrial organization with large, granular datasets.
