Changing long-term care in America: policies, markets, strategies, and outcomes

A key policy question for the coming decade is how best to structure incentives and regulations to ensure that frail older hospitalized patients receive cost effective and coordinated care. This project aims to study the effects of Medicare policy changes on the use of and outcomes of Medicare's post-acute care benefit and how those policies interact with long-term care provider markets and states' Medicaid policies.
