PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] – PSTC Alumnus John Iceland, now professor of sociology and demography at Pennsylvania State University, has been elected as the vice president-elect of the Population Association of America. Professor of Sociology Zhenchao Qian has been elected to the Board of Directors. He will begin a three-year term of service on January 1, 2017, joining Professor of Sociology Leah VanWey, who was elected last year to the PAA Board of Directors.
