Research Project

Economics and social impacts of childhood lead poisoning in Rhode Island

This project aims to explore the economic and social impacts of childhood lead poisoning in Rhode Island by studying the effect of the State's 2005 Lead Hazard Mitigation Law. The study will assess the effectiveness of lead hazard control activities in homes, evaluate to what extent this law has reduced childhood lead poisoning in Rhode Island, and provide data about the economic consequences associated with childhood lead poisoning.
