Spatial analyses of segregation trends: segregation and neighborhood change over time for African Americans and white ethnic immigrants

This project uses mapped data for neighborhoods in ten large U.S. cities in the period 1880-1940 to analyze the residential incorporation of immigrants and racial minorities over time. It aims to provide new information about the levels and trends in segregation by both race/ethnicity and social class, and sources of neighborhood change in response to the arrival of new population groups.
