Assistant Director, English Language Learning
Anne Kerkian earned her B.A. in English and Theater/Drama from Indiana University, and her M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from SIT Graduate Institute. Before coming to Brown, Anne worked as an ESL instructor with students of all ages in South Korea, Argentina, and Costa Rica. Anne also taught in the ESOL Bridge to College and Careers Program at Northern Essex Community College, and at the A.C.E. Language Institute at the University of Rhode Island.
English Language Learning Specialist
Sara Gramley holds a master's degree in the Teaching of English as a Second Language from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has taught English language courses for international students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Boston University, and Harvard University. Most recently, she taught for Roxbury Preparatory Charter School in Dorchester, MA. Sara speaks Spanish, which was the focus of her undergraduate studies, and Portuguese, which she learned while teaching English in Brazil.
