Dr. Austin Jackson will join the Sheridan Center for Teaching and Learning and the Nonfiction Writing Program as Visiting Assistant Professor of English and the Assistant Director of the Writing Center. In addition to teaching courses in the Nonfiction writing program, he will work closely with the Writing Fellows Program, within the Brown Learning Collaborative, teaching a section of English 1190M: Teaching and Practice of Writing. He will also work with the Writing Center to support the teaching and learning of writing across and within the disciplines. Austin comes to Brown from Michigan State University, where he served as Assistant Professor of Writing & Rhetoric in Transcultural Contexts and Director of the My Brother's and Sister's Keeper Program in the MSU Residential College in the Arts in Humanities
