The Sheridan Center invites participants for a new program to create faculty writing groups across Brown. Especially during this isolated time of COVID-19—but also throughout an academic career—writing groups can be an invaluable source of motivation, community, and productivity, as participants work on their writing, ideas, and goal-setting together, with the option of providing feedback for colleagues’ work. According to participants’ preferences, small groups for faculty of any rank will be organized either within individual departments, or across different departments, and they will meet every two weeks as a pilot program beginning in the spring semester.
