Karson is a multimedia artist, graphic designer, and video producer. Before coming to Brown, she worked as an independent documentary film producer and animator in Detroit, MI. 

In January of 2023 she completed an animated short film called Hanina, as part of an interdisciplinary collaborative project with Anthropology at the University of Michigan Humanities Collaboratory. Karson is passionate about using art & design as a tool to make research more accessible to wider audiences.

She earned her BFA in Fine Art at the Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan and recently obtained a Masters of Business Management from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
